Product · Executing Work

The roadmap does not stop at the plan.

Deciding what to do is the easy half. Every recommendation Symphiq puts in front of your team arrives with the how: the steps, what each one needs, and where to do it. Each one earned its place by moving you toward your number. Progress can be tracked while the work happens, and what your team learns doing it is written down and kept. Symphiq proposes and remembers. Your team decides and does.

Every piece of work you finish, and what you learned doing it, is captured and kept. That record is what makes the next plan sharper than the last. This is where the compounding starts.

What arrives with the work

Nobody starts from a blank page.

A recommendation is not a line on a list. It is opened up before anyone touches it, so the person who picks it up already knows what it involves, what it needs, what could go wrong, and roughly what it costs.

Tracking is yours to choose

Break it down, or just do it.

Work can be broken into tasks, and tasks into steps, when a team wants that much structure. It is optional. The plan, the dates and the record all work without it, and nothing nags a team that would rather just get on with the work.

A record, not a status field

What happened to this work, in order.

Work does not just have a current state, it has a history: when it was captured, when it started, when it finished, and when it was picked back up. That history is kept as events, so nothing is quietly overwritten.

Answers where the work is

Ask about this piece of work, not the internet.

Questions come up mid-task, and the useful answer depends on your business and this specific commitment. Symphiq answers with that context already loaded, suggests the questions worth asking, and can propose a change when one is warranted.

The part nobody ever writes up

Answer a few questions. The write-up writes itself.

Retros do not get written because writing them is a job on top of the job. So Symphiq asks your team a few questions while the work is fresh, and turns those answers into the write-up: what got done, what got in the way, what you would do differently, and where the work drifted from the plan. Your team is the source. Symphiq does the writing.

Answers

No. Tasks and steps are optional. The plan, the dates and the record all work whether or not a team chooses to break work down.

No. They are estimates to plan against, and a person can override them when they know better.

Your team answers a few questions and Symphiq writes them up from those answers. Symphiq does not observe the work itself.

It is recorded as not met, alongside what was learned. Symphiq keeps that outcome rather than hiding it, because the next plan is better for it.

Work carries an owner today. Assigning to teams, matching required skills and scheduling against capacity is in development.

Work that explains itself, and remembers itself.

The guidance arrives with the work, the tracking is yours to choose, and what your team learned stays with the business. Work that arrives with the how gets done, gets done right, and moves the number it was meant to. That is the difference between a plan and growth.
