Not every important goal begins in Symphiq. Describe work that already exists, review the structure Symphiq suggests for it, and decide whether it belongs in the Living Roadmap beside the rest of the business's recommendations. A roadmap earns the team's trust when it holds everything the business is really doing, including the commitments that started somewhere else. And a goal the roadmap cannot see is a goal nothing is aimed at, so bringing them in is how more of your business drives the number.

Symphiq can help structure an external commitment into the planning hierarchy, but the proposed shape is something a person reviews. Nothing becomes part of the active roadmap merely because the system drafted it.
Keep the measure beside the work even when GA4 does not own the number
Create a custom metric with the unit, direction, cadence, target, and history your business needs. That gives externally tracked measures a place in the same planning record instead of leaving the work in Symphiq and the number in a separate spreadsheet.
Historical values can come in from a CSV, so the record can start from what the team already tracks.

An outside goal becomes part of the plan only after someone accepts it
Once the structure and measure are reviewed, the accepted commitment can sit beside the rest of the roadmap with its ownership, work, and outcome record. If it does not belong, it stays outside the active plan.
